EXHIBITION URBANITÉS - ROUND-TABLE DISCUSSION ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 6 to 8 pm
In the context of the exhibition URBANITÉS, the Fondation Armand Niquille is hosting a round-table discussion on the theme of "Representing the city, from 1950 to the present day" (in French), with Prof. Thomas Hunkeler, Professor of Literature at the University of Fribourg, Prof. Marc-Henry Soulet, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Fribourg, and Ivan Mariano, Director of the Museum of Art and History of Fribourg. The discussion, moderated by Philippe Geinoz, curator of the exhibition, will address a range of questions on the relationship between artistic practices and the perception of the city, ways of representing it, the appropriation of the urban landscape by the arts, etc., and will be based on works from the exhibition.
Join us on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm at Bluefactory, in the SwissBierMuseum, at the heart of the URBANITÉS exhibition.
